I'm a former journalist preparing to post a piece about my entanglement with a lawmaker I covered in the late 1980s who revived the concept of women as possessors of dangerous, magical powers to push a very cruel anti-abortion bill. Covering the news story at the time was traumatic for me and writing about it, in the shadow of Roe V. Wade and Alito, Inc. has re-traumatized me. Brava!!
