A great idea. Something about the sensitivity the comic suggests with the raspberry cookie code is really heart-warming. I always assume most kids don’t keep the secret (other than from siblings), but I love this idea. It feels like a model for interaction most of us need. I love the heart to heart conversation you had about helping keep the magic alive for others, too.

Thank you so much! I don't know how kids work this out among themselves, but I'm so curious!

While I understand the desire to share the Santa story, I struggle with it. My children attended a school and lived in a neighborhood with families from a fairly broad range of economic backgrounds. How does one perpetuate the idea of a Santa who rewards the good children with gifts, knowing some good children will receive few or no gifts and some horrible children receive many?

reading this warmed my heart and put a smile on my face :), plus now i'm also curious! how do they work it out among themselves haha. I can't remember if i shared it with friends when i found out...probably not .perhaps we all keep it a secret and we wait after a certain age to start talking about it presuming everyone knows ? haha. thanks! :)

I should ask my kids! Maybe it doesn't come up somehow?
