Aubrey, your guest post at HNTFUYF was one of the most popular ever. Evidently, inside your brain is a place a lot of people like to be! xo

The "like" from the mom hit me straight in the heart. What a mad idea it was, to "free-lance" (which in French, could be literally translated by "being thrown in the air" which sounds painfully accurate.)

This is so accurate!!!

As a Graphic Designer, I 100% relate. And the question as the end is something I ask myself regularly.

I hope it's worth the ride, though.

Thank you Aubrey for telling it so well this freelance roller coaster!

Beautiful! As Bill Hicks always said: it's just a ride. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgzQuE1pR1w

This makes complete sense. I'm a psychotherapist in private practice in the UK, and although my practice is steady at the moment there certainly have been years just like in your cartoon...

I think this is my first time commenting since I found you a few weeks ago, but I've loved everything I've seen that you've put out since then.

I do try to comment and at least like what I'm reading on here, as someone also writing on here I know what a boost it can be to have real engagement. But this is a good reminder of that and I'll make sure that I'm actually doing it, not just keeping it in mind.

This is very relatable! Love the rollercoaster image. I'm going to think about it like that from now on...

Hey I can totally relate and I'm a software engineer. I was unexpectedly laid off on Friday. I think that this is the way of the world lately and yes it totally sucks. Keep writing and drawing.

Ugh. I'm so sorry. Hopefully you'll be on to bigger and better!

I oh definitely will also, as a software engineer, I do well when I'm working so I always make sure the "shit happens" fund is flush with cash. Thanks for responding.
