The other set of issues is what they AREN’T saying out loud. They want to remove history and replace curriculum with a neo-Christian driven system. They really want to control it instead of “let it be up to the States”.

This is excellent! One thing to note: DOE is actually the abbreviation for the Dept of Energy. ED is the abbreviation for the Dept. of Education (I just learned this myself—and my job is paid from an ED grant and for years I was using DOE! 😂).

Thank you for this!! Such a clear way of explaining what the Department of Education is actually for. Being from Texas, I especially appreciated the graphic about sex ed in my home state. Our archaic, bullshit, let's farm out sex ed to an outside, abstinence-based organization, approach has been a thorn in my side for decades.

This Title I Public School teacher thanks you 🍎 🍏 If only this level of ACTION could be used for the BILLION legitimate improvements our educational system needs…seems like government *can* take swift action when they’re so motivated…

All we are out here doing is hoping our schools are more resourced than prisons, and that our zip codes shouldn’t have anything to do with our funding 🌈

Very clear and hilarious too! I understand the point at the end about equitable education. However, that has not been happening with the DOE in place. A different solution is needed. Don Berg’s website has some brilliant ideas https://www.holisticequity.org/

Oh yeah 72 yr old retired Government employee I am afraid to drive 13 miles into town, because I know I will spend money this month that won’t be there next month. Unfortunately I am out of dog food. So Gumbo needs to eat, my Covid dog I adopted is a priority. It’s a mitzvot to feed my animal before myself.
