Hi friends,
It’s almost the end of Pride Month and I wanted to share a comic about this experience I had last week at my local police station. The growing boldness of anti-LGBTQ+ movements has had me down lately, and this was an unfortunate reality to face first-hand.
But first, a couple links in case you missed them:
I made a comic for The Washington Post about the challenges (and joys!) of parenting multiple children.
I also have one in The Audacity all about the Comstock Act and how the right wing is trying to weaponize a 150-year-old law in their war against reproductive rights.
Lastly, if you enjoy my work, consider upgrading to a paid subscription! This enables me to make more original comics here (so they aren’t put behind paywalls) and to keep doing the work I do!
Thank you for speaking up, and continuing to be present and advocating through your work. It's always jangling for me to be around that kind of energy and I hope you're doing okay.
We all have to do our part to stand up to the rising tide of hatred in this country, hatred that increasingly feels emboldened by our feeble institutions. They aren't responsible for preserving the civil liberties of everyone/anyone. We are, and we need to start making our voices heard. Bravo. Aubrey.
